Darren Carter is 19 years old and was born in Leicester. He is currently in his second year of a Business Economics degree at the University of Leicester, and works part time at Tesco to fund this.

Darren first entered the sport in 2001 and has since won three back-to-back solo championships, in 2003, 2004, and 2005. This had led to appearances on National TV including being on BBC’s ‘They Think It’s All Over’ where he appeared as a ‘Feel the Sportsman’, and also featured in a small newspiece on Channel 5’s ‘Fifth Gear.’ Darren created the BAR Racing team towards the end of the 2005 season, and has raced in every season since.  

Darren’s training consists of a couple of visits a week to the gym, and also likes to go Mountain Biking at Cannock Chase.
