Martin works for a secondary school as an IT Technician near his home city of Southampton. He is in charge of all computer eqipment and ensures the functionality of all network hardware.
Martin enjoys cycling but sees everything as a challenge and constantly treats any ride as a training event. He lives 11 miles from work and does the round commute trip, rain or shine, on his bike always looking to bring the time down.
His first race was at a charity race in Ringwood, in the New Forest, in 2001, racing with Gavin and his brother; discovering the BPCC and entering his first championship race at the Blackbushe event of that year with the same team. The following year, the newly created BSE Racing entered every race finishing 2nd in their first 24hr event and only their 4th ever BPCC race. Since then BSE Racing has proved to be a formidable team, challenging for race wins and showing their speed at many events. Sadly a lack of team members forced the team to dispand with Martin along with Gavin guest racing for BAR Racing in 2007. 2008 plans to be near a full calender with BAR where he hopes the team can rise to the top and claim some vital points.
